C11000
Copper Busbar
ETP copper bar for power distribution and electrical connections. Specify section, temper and contact requirements to suit the electrical and mechanical design.

01 / MATERIAL OVERVIEWMaterial Features
C11000 is electrolytic tough-pitch copper, widely used for electrical conductors. Low electrical resistance is valuable, while the complete busbar design also depends on dimensions, joints, support and operating conditions. For a separate fluid or heat-transfer circuit, explore C12200 straight copper tube or C12200 copper coil tube; these are tubing formats, not direct busbar substitutes.
Electrical Conductivity
Select conductivity requirements and test conditions in the purchase specification.
Contact Design
Joint area, surface condition and connection pressure affect contact performance.
Fabrication Options
Drilling, bending and tapping can be specified using a dimensioned drawing.
Surface Choices
Bare, tin-plated or nickel-plated options may be discussed for the intended connection.
Mechanical Support
Consider bar span, thermal movement and forces under the design operating conditions.
Material Identification
ETP is not oxygen-free copper. Confirm the grade when the process requires a different oxygen level.
02 / TECHNICAL DATAMaterial Reference
| Item | Reference / requirement |
|---|---|
| Grade | UNS C11000 |
| Copper including silver | 99.90% minimum reference |
| Material type | Electrolytic tough-pitch copper |
| Electrical conductivity | Typically about 101% IACS at 20°C |
| Delivery properties | Specify temper and acceptance tests |
Reference values support material selection. Confirm the complete chemistry, mechanical properties and acceptance criteria in the purchase specification and batch report.
03 / CONDITION & PERFORMANCESpecify the Right Condition
The grade does not define a universal hardness or current rating. Specify temper to match bending and support requirements. Conductivity figures are material reference values, not an ampacity rating for a complete assembly.
| Requirement | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Material condition | Exact grade and temper or delivery condition |
| Mechanical properties | Applicable limits for the product form and dimensions |
| Inspection | Test method and required material documentation |
04 / DIMENSIONS & SUPPLYDimensions for Your Application
| Item | Ordering guidance |
|---|---|
| Thickness × width | Specify section and tolerances |
| Length | Provide finished length and cutting requirements |
| Holes & bends | Supply a drawing with dimensions and datums |
| Contact surfaces | Specify flatness, finish and coating |
Provide dimensions in millimeters and identify whether they refer to incoming stock or finished parts. Available sizes, quantity and lead time are confirmed in the quotation.

06 / FABRICATION & FINISHPlan the Fabrication Route
| Operation | Details to define |
|---|---|
| Cutting & drilling | Specify dimensions, hole positions, burr limits and end finish. |
| Bending | Define inside radius and bend orientation, and match the temper to the forming operation. |
| Contact preparation | Specify flatness and surface finish on mating areas. |
| Plating | Define coating type, thickness, masked areas and final fit allowances. |
07 / PACKING & INSPECTIONPacking, Handling & Inspection
Protect the Material
Specify package size and unit weight for your handling equipment. Agree on edge protection, separation between pieces and moisture protection appropriate to the shipment.
Store & Handle Carefully
Store dry and supported. Keep contact surfaces and finished faces free from contamination and handling damage. Preserve labels for batch identification.
Check on Receipt
- Match grade, condition and batch identification to the order.
- Check quantity, dimensions and packaging condition.
- Inspect visible surfaces and edges before fabrication.
- Review the agreed material and inspection documents.
08 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSSelection FAQs
What current can this busbar carry?
There is no single rating from the grade alone. The assembly design must consider section, temperature rise, cooling, enclosure and joints.
Is C11000 oxygen-free copper?
No. It is ETP copper. Specify an oxygen-free grade separately if required by the process.
Can the bar be plated?
Discuss tin or nickel plating with coating thickness and masking defined in the order.
09 / ORDERING GUIDESend a Complete Specification
