3003-H14
Aluminum Sheet
A versatile aluminum sheet for bent panels, covers and general sheet-metal work. The H14 condition balances useful strength with forming capability.

01 / MATERIAL OVERVIEWMade for Sheet-Metal Fabrication
3003 is a non-heat-treatable aluminum alloy with manganese as its main alloying addition. It offers good corrosion resistance and weldability for general fabrication. Compare 1060 aluminum plate for commercially pure aluminum, or 5052-H32 aluminum sheet for an aluminum–magnesium sheet option.
Forming Capability
Suitable for many bent and formed sheet components. Match the bend geometry to thickness and rolling direction.
Practical Strength
H14 provides a half-hard condition for everyday sheet-metal work.
Finish Planning
Define the visible face, grain direction and surface acceptance criteria before ordering.
02 / MATERIAL CONDITIONUnderstanding H14
H14 means strain-hardened without supplementary thermal treatment to a half-hard condition. It is not an artificially aged temper. For demanding forming operations, compare the required geometry with a softer condition before specifying the material.
| Item | Product specification |
|---|---|
| Alloy | 3003 aluminum |
| Temper | H14 |
| Product form | Flat sheet |
| Mechanical requirements | Confirm limits for the ordered thickness and applicable standard |
03 / DIMENSIONS & SUPPLYSpecify the Sheet You Need
| Item | Details to provide |
|---|---|
| Thickness | Nominal thickness and tolerance |
| Width × length | Sheet dimensions in millimeters |
| Quantity | Number of sheets or total weight |
| Flatness & squareness | Acceptance limits where critical |
| Edges | Cut-edge condition and burr requirements |
Include cutting allowances when the sheet will be processed further. Available sizes and delivery schedules are confirmed with the quotation.
04 / APPLICATIONSTypical Project Uses
Equipment Covers
Folded covers and guards designed around access, fastening and clearance requirements.
Enclosure Panels
Flat and bent panels for general equipment housings.
General Sheet-Metal Parts
Cut blanks and formed components made to a project drawing.
05 / FABRICATIONPlan Each Operation
| Operation | Planning guidance |
|---|---|
| Cutting | Provide finished sizes, nesting preferences and edge-quality requirements. |
| Bending | Confirm inside radius, rolling direction and springback using trial pieces. |
| щанцоване & drilling | Define hole positions, diameters and burr control. |
| Joining | Select a joining procedure appropriate to the completed assembly. |
Send a drawing for any requested processing. Processing scope and tolerances are subject to confirmation.
06 / SURFACE & PROTECTIONSpecify the Protective Finish
State whether you need a bare mill-finish surface or removable protective film. For film-covered sheets, specify one or both faces, film requirements and compatibility with the intended fabrication process.
Keep covered material away from excessive heat and prolonged sunlight. Follow the film supplier’s removal and storage guidance.
07 / PACKING & INSPECTIONProtect the Sheets in Transit
Handling & Storage
Specify pallet size and package weight to suit your handling equipment. Store sheets dry, level and adequately supported. Avoid dragging sheets across each other.
Check on Receipt
- Match alloy, temper and batch identification to the order.
- Check dimensions, quantity and packaging condition.
- Inspect exposed edges and surface protection.
- Review the agreed material documentation.
08 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSSelection FAQs
Can H14 sheet be bent?
Yes, for suitable geometries. Confirm the bend radius and tooling for the actual thickness; use a trial piece for critical bends.
Is blue film included on every order?
Protective film must be specified and confirmed in the quotation, including the covered faces.
How do I request cut sizes?
Provide thickness, width, length, quantity and tolerances, with a drawing where needed.
09 / ORDERING GUIDERequest a Quotation
Please include: 3003-H14 aluminum sheet; thickness × width × length; quantity; dimensional tolerances; surface finish; protective film; packing preferences; and material documentation requirements.
Identify the applicable sheet standard and edition in your purchase specification. Final availability, pricing, minimum order quantity and lead time are subject to quotation.
